Zandvoorde British Cemetery

This village saw some of the earliest fighting in the First Battle of Ypres, and thereafter remained a British objective until late 1918 when it was recaptured in the great advance. Although it is a post-war clearance cemetery it has a high proportion of 1914 casualties among the 1,573 buried here, notably of the 7th Division.
