The
view south-west from Zillebeke, with Kemmel hill clear on
the horizon. In the middle ground, Voormezele, a terrifying
spot on the route from the rear areas towards St Eloi, Zillebeke
and Hill 60. At night especially, Voormezele was the scene
of intense transport activity, and of all too regular devastating
German shelling. |
