XLIX Brigade

This unit was raised during war time. It is also sometimes shown as 49 Brigade RFA. It is not the same unit as the 49 (Howitzer) Brigade RFA that was broken up in 1916.

History

  • This brigade was formed at Colchester on 22 October 1917 and placed into 214th Special Brigade of 71st Division.
  • The brigade moved to 67th Division for service in North Russia but was disbanded by 25 March 1918
