This regiment had no battalions of the regular army.

Territorial Force
1/1st Battalion

August 1914 : in Cambridge. Part of East Midland Brigade, East Anglian Division.
February 1915 : left the Division and moved to France.
15 February 1915 : attached to 82nd Brigade, 27th Division.
15 November 1915 : transferred to VII Corps Troops and then became a Training Bn for the 3rd Army School at Flixecourt.
29 June 1916 : transferred to 118th Brigade, 39th Division.
9 May 1918 : transferred to 35th Brigade, 12th Division.


2/1st Battalion
Formed in Cambridge in September 1914.
December 1914 : attached to 207th Brigade, 69th Division.
February 1915 : transferred to East Midland Brigade, East Anglian Division.
April 1915 : transferred to 207th Brigade, 69th Division.
8 October 1917 : transferred to 200th Brigade, 67th Division.
Remained in UK until disbanded in March 1918.

3/1st Battalion
Formed in Cambridge in February 1915.
8 April 1916 : became Reserve Bn.
1 September 1916 : part of the East Anglian Reserve Brigade.
23 July 1917 : combined with 4th (Reserve) Bn, the Suffolk Regiment to form the Cambridge and Suffolk Reserve Bn.
Remained in UK throughout the war.

4/1st Battalion
Formed in Newmarket in November 1915 by the 2/1st Bn.
November 1915 : attached to 208th Brigade, 69th Division.
Remained in UK until disbanded in October 1917.

This Regiment formed no battalions of the New Armies or any other units.
