August 1914 : in Shrewsbury. Part of the Welsh Border Mounted Brigade, which in August 1914 was attached to the 1st Mounted Division.
November 1915 : became a dismounted unit
March 1916 : moved to Egypt, and formed 4th Dismounted Brigade, with the South Wales Mounted Brigade.
March 1917 : together with 1/1st Cheshire Yeomanry, formed the 10th (Shropshire and Cheshire Yeomanry) Bn, KSLI, attached to 231st Brigade, 74th Division

Formed September 1914, and remained in UK. In July 1916, converted into a Cyclist unit, moving to Ireland in early 1918.
3/1st
Formed in 1915. Remained in United Kingdom until disbanded in early 1917.
