August 1914 : in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Part of the Yorkshire Mounted Brigade.

September 1914 : joined the newly-forming 7th Division.

April 1915: Regiment split up: RHQ and A Squadron remained with the Division; B Squadron joined 1st Division; C Squadron joined 8th Division.

May 1916: all units reformed in France, to form XIII Corps Cavalry.

August 1917 : moved to VIII Corps.

November 1917 : moved to III Corps.

October 1918: moved to XII Corps.

Formed October 1914.

April 1916: Regiment split up: RHQ and B Squadron joined 62nd Division; A Squadron operated as an independent unit based in Scarborough; C Squadron joined 59th Division.

February 1917 : all units reformed in England; moved to France 19 March 1917, joining XIX Corps Cavalry a few days later.

28 August 1917 : moved to Etaples for infantry training.

25 September 1917: joined an infantry regiment and became 9th (Northumberland Hussars Yeomanry) Bn, the Northumberland Fusiliers.

Formed in February 1915. Remained in United Kingdom until absorbed by the 5th Reserve Cavalry Regiment in early 1917.
