1/1st

August 1914: in Beauly, part of the Highland Mounted Brigade.

September 1915 : dismounted, the Regiment moved to Gallipoli, landing on 26 September 1915 and becoming attached to the 2nd Mounted Division.

December 1915 : evacuated from Gallipoli, arriving in Egypt in February 1916. At this time the Brigade was absorbed into the 2nd Dismounted Brigade in the Western Frontier Force.

27 September 1916: with the 1/2nd Lovat's Scouts Yeomanry and a company from 1/3rd Scottish Horse, formed the 10th (Lovat's Scouts) Battalion, the Cameron Highlanders. This unit moved with its Division to Salonika in October 1916 and joined 27th Division.

June 1918 : left the Division and moved to France, becoming Lines of Communication Troops.

2/1st

Formed in 1914, and remained in UK. Converted into a cyclist unit in July 1916.

3/1st

Formed in July 1915. Remained in United Kingdom until disbanded in January 1917.
