1914 : in Beverley, part of the Yorkshire Mounted Brigade.
Early
1915 : left the Brigade and joined 2nd Northumbrian
Division.
May
1915 : transferred to 1st Mounted Division.
October
1915 : moved for Salonika, but orders received while at sea diverted the
Brigade to Egypt.
April
1916 : Brigade redesignated 22nd Mounted Brigade.
Attached to Western Frontier Force.
February
1917 : Brigade moved to ANZAC Mounted Division.
June
1917 : Brigade moved to Yeomanry Mounted Division,
which was redeisgnated (after a short period as 1st Mounted Division)
the 4th Cavalry Division, and the Brigade became 12th Cavalry Brigade.

April 1918 : left the Brigade, dismounted and formed D Battalion, Machine
Gun Corps, with the 1/1st Lincolnshire Yeomanry. Moved to France,
landing 1 June 1918, and attached to First Army.

Formed
September 1914, and remained in UK until May 1918 when moved to Ireland.
Converted into a cyclist unit in July 1916.
3/1st
Formed
in 1915. Remained in United Kingdom until absorbed into 1st Reserve Cavalry
Regiment in early 1917.
